I
am Satu Eskelinen and I am enjoying my life in the heart of Joensuu.
For Sailas’s irritation I am studying geology and biology at the
University of Joensuu for heaven knows how many years.
I got my first dog, Bichon Frisé,
when I was seven years old
in 1983. My dog, Fincolein Aposso Grave, was
never any famous showstar (not the least because of the lousy work
done with his hair),
but all the more a loved member of our family. It was this
particular dog which made me fall in love with this lively, happy,
self-confident and playful breed which looks like
candyfloss.
At the moment, my dog family includes
three
Bichons
Frisés
and my partner Tuomas's Staffordshire
Bull Terrier.
With my decedent
bichons
I have taken
part in courses for puppies and in courses
for obedience as well as practised agility every now and then.
However,
nowadays
our most precious hobby is participating dog shows.
At the moment I'm
working as a secretary
of Bichon Frisé ry
for the
fourth year. I have also been
on the board of directors of
Bichon Frisé ry for three
years and Pohjois-Karjalan Seurakoirat PoKS
ry for
three
years. I have
also
worked as a secretary in the latter organization for
six years. I have also been in many dogshow groups and
schooling for shows in the Joensuu region, so I have no problems
with my spare time because of my studies, work, dogs and hobbies. My
dogs give me much joy and I have got many friends and interesting
experiences, which probably would never have happened without my
dogs. I hope that I can enjoy of these lovable dogs also in the
future.
