Lab has five queens and two kings, which are lasius niger.

Nest

Nest is modul based formicarium, with transparent connecting tubes. There are three sand domes in bottom level. Every move of the ant is easily observed. This is real space-age taylorism.

Diary

14.10.2007. Nothing to see. I think that two queens dug into sand, but I don't know, what has happen during the last month.

2.9.2007. The third queen was found dead. I just hope, that there is two other queens dug into sand and not into my house.

25.8.2007. One of the queens and two kings were dead and taken off from nest. But two queens seem to be lost, and I'm not happy about that.

7.8.2007. Because three queens still has wings, I added one extra wingless queen there. That may mean war in the future.
