Lua
This section contains material related to the Lua programming language.
Lua is:
- pure ANSI C (multiplatform)
- among the fastest scripting languages
- extremely stable
- compact: for example <200kB binary, when compiling for my mobile phone
- easy to extend through libraries at C level
- free to use for commercial applications (not GPL)
Lua is ideal for rapid prototyping, and holds its ground well even if the prototype turns into the product. After all, Java is used for commercial applications, and lua is in general faster.
