DSP blog

I'm maintaining a blog on dsprelated.com.
Below a short summary of the articles:

Polyphase filter and Farrows interpolation:_
Changing the sample rate by an arbitrary and possibly nonrational factor

Delay estimation by FFT:_
Sometimes the exact position of a known signal needs to be determined in time.
FFT methods can achieve much higher accuracy than what could be achieved with brute-force oversampling and crosscorrelation alone (the example gives an error of 10^{-10} of a sample length). See also this page.

A brief look at multipath radio channels:
_
With few exceptions, modern ground-based wireless systems such as cellular are designed to achieve good performance in the presence of a fading radio channel.
This article gives a demonstration of multipath propagation, the radio frequency effect that cause frequency-selective fading.
