Brightness: 3 Alt: 30°
Description: Bright but very scattered. Surrounds 3 mag. 8
stars. About 25-30 stars within 15'-20'. Obvious. Note the
straight chain of 4-5 stars between the northernmost bright
stars. This structure is mentioned by B.A. Archinal in his book
The "Non-Existent" star cluster of the RNGC.
J.H.'s second position (J2000: 05h 44.1m +08° 47) is close to
the brightest stars while the first position (given) in in the
southern parts but still within the cluster.
