Amateur Astronomy

As an amateur astronomer I've always preferred staying outside and looking upwards - I learn more than enough of the theoretical stuff while studying. After trying this and that I've settled down and narrowed my interest to two areas: halos (daytime observing) and deep-sky objects (at night). For the latter I usually use my own 20-cm (8-inch) Dobsonian made by Juhani Salmi.
