Summer and early autumn records of Glaucous are very rare in Finland.


The bill colour is very much like in 1st-winter; pink base, clear contrast to dark tip and only slightly paler "hook". However, iris is already very pale.
Rich brown underwing and remnants of "Skua"-pattern in undertailcoverts are pointers to 2cy bird.
Note also the dark pattern on growing outer tailfeathers.
